The Welsh Conservative candidate for Aberconwy - Janet Finch-Saunders - has spoken of her party's plan to deliver a Bounce Back Package for workers and businesses, in light of the present Coronavirus pandemic.
As an entrepreneur herself, and as the former Chair of the cross-party group on Small Shops, Janet has been a committed and vocal campaigner for local businesses during her time in Cardiff Bay. Throughout the pandemic, she held a series of digital round tables with business owners to understand concerns and regularly updated constituents on the support available.
Commenting on the pledge, Janet said:
"It is true that Wales has been in lockdown longer than anywhere else in Britain, with this public health emergency taking an incredible toll on local businesses and their staff. Thanks to the efforts of our community, we're now able to look forward to the process of unlocking restrictions. "Following my series of digital business forums, I made clear that the Welsh Government should look to develop support packages to restart the economy, such a new Welsh Restart Grant. Simply put, businesses want to be empowered to trade. "This is why I am so incredibly pleased that my Welsh Conservative colleagues and I have pledged to bring forward a new and targeted Bounce Back Package for workers and businesses. By working with our entrepreneurs, we can ensure that Aberconwy bounces back better."
